Following last year success Kulture Brake productions is putting together another night for your delight.
This time we will be seriously funny with some surprises quite literally wild.

Kimberley Stone did her first appearance on this stage a year ago and she will be back
with her supreme hyper-realistic view of the funny side of the world.

Rod Bullimore will be revisiting his Mic Manic beast in a string of impalpable blissfully sad 'self-delusionary' visions.
The musical side of the show will come from the groovy excruciatingly hilarious Bernie Davies' guitar.
To add some disruption to the eve, they've lined up the foolish wit of Daniel Barnard's shock-brainwaves.
Expect some controversy as this time Dhyano will explore his untamed stallion-side,
in search of the sexy synthesis of his multi-talented mesmerising verve.

In substance a night to be remembered... or better to forget,
depend on how comfortable you feel out of your comfort zone.

DELIVERANCE: A multi-media Haiku Collection by Dhyano

In occasion of the Port Eliot festival 2010 I am launching a 10 minutes performance consisting in the delivery of a series of 3 Haikus interlaced with a video-poem 'Deliverance' as audio-visual background. The poems are performed in original language (Italian) and on the video, as subtitles, will appear the English translation also in form of Haiku. In between haikus I will improvise a dance developed from the workshop with Stella Azzurra Squadroni (Haiku dance), while playing the bansuri (bamboo flute). The performance is designed to give a profound and definitive answer to the obsessive question "what brought you here?" that everybody usually asks as soon as acknowledges someone’s foreign accent. ”… every time I answer something different and I never lie. In fact, back in London, eight years ago, I have based my decision to move to Cornwall on the result of a reading of I-Ching that gave me the hexagram Hsieh/deliverance. I’ve asked the oracle: shall I move to Cornwall? And the answer was: “The south west furthers”. Within a month I’d packed up my stuff and moved. And here I am.”
Through a delicate balance of sounds, images and physical expression, the performance explores areas of our psyche that are responsible for our irrational decisions. The intention of the piece is not to showcase the skillful ability of the author/performer, but to show the potential of verbal compositions to materialize through our senses in form of sound, images and movement.
Notes about the music.
In settings where there is no availability of a media projector, the piece can be performed without video.
The sound installation ‘deliverance’ is a series of sounds entirely recorded by the author using his voice. As the Indian flute has 6 holes, the piece of music improvised is inspired by the hexagram Hsieh. The pattern of notes will follow the indications of the open lines.
Notes about the movements.
The work of Stella Azzurra Squadroni is strongly influenced by the Japanese butoh dance. Far from considering himself a dancer, Dhyano has developed this performance inspired by the powerful intensity of the total freedom of expression through movement, explored during the workshop Haiku Dance. “I felt like pushed back to reconsider my creative roots, to question my artistic self at the point that I was about to give up all what I have built so far. Kind of blowing away the card castle carefully assembled through the years.” It’s out of this hazy dusty nothingness that slowly appears ‘deliverance’ as an attempt to describe the wabi-sabi concept of a ‘universe in constant motion toward or away from potential’.

40. Hsieh / Deliverance
Here the movement goes out of the sphere of danger. The obstacle has been removed, the difficulties are being resolved. Deliverance is not yet achieved; it is just in its beginning, and the hexagram represents its various stages.
THE JUDGMENT
DELIVERANCE. The southwest furthers.
If there is no longer anything where one has to go,
Return brings good fortune.
If there is still something where one has to go,
Hastening brings good fortune.
This refers to a time in which tensions and complications begin to be eased. At such times we ought to make our way back to ordinary conditions as soon as possible; this is the meaning of "the southwest." These periods of sudden change have great importance. Just as rain relieves atmospheric tension, making all the buds burst open, so a time of deliverance from burdensome pressure has a liberating and stimulating effect on life. One thing is important, however: in such times we must not overdo our triumph. The point is not to push on farther than is necessary. Returning to the
regular order of life as soon as deliverance is achieved brings good fortune. If there
are any residual matters that ought to be attended to, it should be done as quickly as possible, so that a clean sweep is made and no retardations occur.

Thus the superior man pardons mistakes
And forgives misdeeds.
A thunderstorm has the effect of clearing the air; the superior man produces a similar effect when dealing with mistakes and sins of men that induce a condition of tension. Through clarity he brings deliverance. However, when failings come to light, he does not dwell on them; he simply passes over mistakes, the unintentional transgressions, just as thunder dies away. He forgives misdeeds, the intentional transgressions, just as water washes everything clean.

Tacitamente Pure - English Translation

This is the translation of 'Tacitamente Pure'. (Click on signifier 7 above and download the multi-voice Italian original version).

The English translation loses quite a lot of alliterations so I would advise to use it as a guide. The sound version apart from the intensity of the feeling delivered with chrystal clear accuracy, is also exploring and recreate the intersections and overlapping of voices in someone's mind at the moment of writing.

Indualvidual

I have been fantasising about experiencing love making as described in this poem. When the two lovers lose themselves into each other.I couldn't find a word to describe the feeling so I have invented one: INDUALVIDUAL. Being an indualvidual is when you are aware that you are two and yet you feel like you are one. Same kind of feeling you have when you relax your hand on your leg and after few minutes you don't feel the separation between leg and hand. It's like two drops of rain becoming one but still holding their individuality, running down one of the millions of invisible channels of a window when outside is raining. But that is another poem.
