Abducted by Humans 2nd May 2010 8pm at the St.Ives Arts Club 0

I though it would have been nice to say 'hi I am back in town guys!' by putting together a little happening. So I have persuaded Rod Bullimore to use one of his catching titles and here we go.

The night has got an ironic side but is tremendously serious therefore really funny.
I wanted to be on show with me Dominic Power for his fantastic sense of humor ( that unfortunately I don't understand but people do because they laugh) linked with that mesmerising way to use the language. And I wanted to see how Kimberley Stone would work on stage because I think she is a natural performer but she doesn't know it yet. She will soon and you will too if you are there. Who knows it might be her one and only performance... one more reason not to miss it.
Rod Bullimore will ... oh yes he will forget the script somewhere but he will eventually deliver his ... whatever it will be, maybe even songs.

Mainly we don't know what the others are going to do exactly but we set a limitation: 20 min each, read some damn good piece of writing and don't take yourself too seriously.

The occasion is the St.Ives literature festival hosted by Bob Deveraux which means totally improvised organisation which is cool. Totally deserted by sponsors especially because they don't know that it's on. There's a website though if you want to know what else is going on for that week.

Probably appearing to someone's sofisticated taste as a low profile festival, however also probably the only one in UK that is about writers rather then non-local publishers and their books signed by the author.

And this is the point of Abducted by Humans. Why do we write? What is that mysterious force that ... that what? Buy the ticket and find out. Be aware though, after the show you might feel like an alien... abducted by humans as we do.

Ciao now.
